MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Empathetic support for the weight you've been carrying

Evidence-based therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, OCD, burnout, grief, and the kinds of emotional difficulty that quietly take up too much room. A space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and find your way forward at a pace that feels right. The focus is on understanding what is contributing to distress, developing ways to manage and respond to challenges, and supporting a return to clarity, strength, and well-being. I offer a faith-sensitive and ethical approach to mental health treatment.

People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes a clear crisis, sometimes a quiet sense that something isn't right, that anxiety has crept into too much of life, or that the weight has simply gone on too long. Wherever you're starting from, our first work together is to listen carefully: to what you're experiencing now, to the patterns and pressures around it, and to what you hope might shift.

My aim is not to rush you toward a quick fix, but to help you make sense of what's happening and find an approach that genuinely fits.

A space to slow down and be properly heard

My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and faith-sensitive. I work primarily as a Schema Therapist, which means we don't just look at the symptoms. We look underneath them, at the long-standing patterns and unmet needs that often keep distress in place. Schema Therapy also includes techniques that help process trauma and make sense of the behaviours and reactions that can otherwise feel confusing or out of character. Where helpful, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) alongside this.

If you are in a personal crisis or experiencing thoughts of suicide, Lifeline (13 11 14) provides 24-hour support.Therapy is one part of support and recovery, but it is not a crisis service. If you are currently unsafe, the most important first step is connecting with services that can help with immediate safety. If you are in immediate danger, please call 000.
